Caribbean flair

In the breathtaking setting of Cabarete on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, the “Master of the Ocean” took place, a unique water sports event that combines five disciplines in one ultimate competition: windsurfing, surfing, stand-up paddle, kite surfing and wingsurfing. The aim is not only to choose the best team, but also to find the ultimate “Waterman” or “Waterwoman.” Athletes who are proficient in all five sports at the highest level. In exciting heats, the participants compete against each other, fight their way through losers and winners finals and deliver impressive sporting achievements. There were international greats such as Brian Talma and Alina Adisaka, who, together with many other top athletes, created spectacular scenes. Commissioned by the renowned windsurfing agency and content company JAKLAR, HFMEDIA was on site to capture this extraordinary event in all its intensity. Our task was to capture the emotions, energy and exciting dynamics of the event in image and sound and thus make the essence of “Master of the Ocean” authentically tangible.
